We're on a good run with three profitable days in a row (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) and no selections today (Sunday) - although our "of interest" mention won nicely at Salisbury so hopefully some of our subscribers would have had a good day today as well.
It's funny how wins and losses can often come in streaks. Our May results were disappointing but freakish with the number of horses trading at at long odds losing was just crazy and while June had a bit of a stop-start feel to it for a while, it's now nicely in profit and long may it continue.
Since our last results update we've had four winnners, three of them at 5/1 adv. and another at 7/1 which drifted to 9/1 at SP.
Kanturk at Ffos Las won really easily for Peter Bowen, and could be called the winner some way from home. Similarly well backed, Man Of Plenty at Nottingham in the end won easily, but a furlong from home looked to be paddling a fair bit before finding a brilliant second wind and came through to win in the final furlong.
Another winner of ours from Peter Bowen's yard arrived in the form of Dineur at Aintree on Friday night and again he was a very comfortable victor and again well backed.
Tatlisu was quite weak on course at Leicester last night but put in a cracking effort to just prevail over the minimum trip. He looked to have the race sown up with 30 yards left to race but was reeled back in close to the line by the eventual second and just prevailed on the nod by a short-head. After our run of "collared late" horses in May we were due winning one of these types of finishes, and it was definitely pleasing to get the verdict.
Elsewhere a mixed bag of efforts with some shockers alongside some decent showings, particularly Priceless Art at Worcester (SP 9/1) who led coming to the last trading odds on but emptied and eventually finished out of the frame.
