Results Update

Three selections from the 12 which have run since our last update, hitting in-running lows of 1.05, 1.37 and 1.12 have been the recent high/low points, depending on your take on things!

De Faoithesdream, Uprise and Crucis Abbey the horses in question, at advised prices of 5/1, 6/1 and 7/1 respectively.

De Faoithesdream was clear approaching the last at Newton Abbot but made a hash of the final jump, and his jock lost his irons for a couple of strides and he was done near the line.

George Margarson's Uprise came with what looked like potentially a winning run with a burst of acceleration at Bath, but he just had to check for a stride which cost him all chance and he went down in third, although the winner was not for stopping.

Similarly Crucis Abbey came with another really good looking charge on Thursday at Bath but the leader found some reserves of energy to repel the challenge.

A few poor performances in there too in particular the two which didn't get any lower in-running thn advised at in the morning (nine others did, another one matched the price).

By the way, it may be of some interest to know that of the 149 selections of ours who have run at least once since being picks for us this year, 26 have won next time out - that's a strike-rate of 17.45% at an average BSP of 16.68. That's a level stakes profit of 25.27pts (17.85pts with 5% commission).

Backing just those which go off at 9/1 or shorter at BSP next time - increases the strike rate to 30.38% - 24 wins from 79 bets. That's a profit at BSP of 49.77pts (or 44.52pts with 5% commission).

This isn't the first time this has appeared as a trend and the case is growing ever stronger to follow our selections next time, even more so when relatively well fancied in the market.

Results Update

A good last week or so with a couple of nice winners, including the very impressive Butterfly McQueen today at Ascot.

Last Sunday, Able Master was well backed to collect at Ayr, and he duly did so, making all and quickening up nicely for Daniel Tudhope before holding off two challengers.

Then we had a period of no selections, before a fairly busy but relatively uneventful Thursday and Friday - and then today's excellent Butterfly McQueen, who simply never looked in danger off her handicap mark and ran out a most convincing winner.

The main other horse of note was that of Thorntoun Lady, who went off at 16/1 at Doncaster back on July 5th. On her racecourse debut she had every chance about a furlong from home before she ran a bit green and was bumped around to end up finishing fourth. A likely winner in waiting.

Results Update

A belated catch up of recent results, which has proven quite a frustrating spell with quite a few of our selections running quite well but just the one winner. We've had eight of the 17 selections hit 2.56 in running or less, but just the one winner.

The highlight then, was the good winner Alta Lilea at Newmarket at the end of June, who made all and was clear going into the final furlong and never looked like being caught. Her win for Mark Johnston ensured that the month ended nicely in profit.

The averaged advised price of 8.29/1 comfortably beat the average SP of 6.91 during this spell. On only two occasions did a selection not hit a lower price in-running than advised at in the morning.
