And there's not a great deal to be said about Flichity's effort. Never really travelling he was behind from an early stage, after starting at 16/1.

A complete contrast from yesterday's pick. Mick Easterby's 5yo was always travelling beautifully, and took it up three hurdles from home. It looked like he might go on to score quite comfortably, but the favourite battled back, helped by a small error by ours at the last, but Shadows Lengthen kept finding all the way to the line to win by a neck. Great stuff! Sadly a 20pt R4 reduced returns somewhat, but still, a good day.

The result leaves December 5.6pts in profit, and with a couple more days of the year left, to hopefully lock in some more profit if and when the opportunities arise.
