Results update

Not a great few days since our last update, with a few selections running well but sadly no winner, apart from three among our "of interests".

Still, as we know things can turn very quickly in this game and let's hope we can return to winning ways tomorrow.

We'll start our latest round-up on Wednesday where we had:

TIME     COURSE            SELECTION              0.5pt/1pt/2pt win    Bookmaker(s) / Price(s)

3.55             Chelt                     Easter Meteor                  1pt                      6-1 general

OF INTEREST:

3.20 Chelt Bourne 8-1
5.35 Chelt Nampour 5-1
4.30 Chelt Moorlands Mist 9-1
5.15 Nkt Batallion 9-2

Easter Meteor (5/1sp) went off a shade too quickly after starting at 5/1 and faded towards the end, after running well for a long time.

Of the mentions, Moorlands Mist was placed while Batallion was a non-runner.

On Thursday we had:

TIME     COURSE            SELECTION              0.5pt/1pt/2pt win    Bookmaker(s) / Price(s)

No selections

OF INTEREST:

3.55 Ripon Dusky Queen 7/2
4.40 Newmarket Stipulate 3/1
5.05 Ripon Right Touch 3/1

No selections here, but Right Touch was a winner at 9/4sp for the mentions while Stipulate came second.

A busy day on Friday with three selections:

TIME     COURSE            SELECTION              0.5pt/1pt/2pt win    Bookmaker(s) / Price(s)

2.40         Ayr                      Mr Moonshine              1pt                          6/1 general bog maybe 7/1 Totesport
5.15         Newbury             Confessional                  1pt                          8/1 BetVictor/PP/Totesport/Boyles/Stan James/SportingBet
6.00         Bath                    Shrimpton                      1pt                          9/2 Coral 4/1 general bog

OF INTEREST:

1.10 Ayr Ballybogey 4/1
1.40 Ayr Red Inca 7/2
2.10 Ayr Talkin Sence 11/2
4.30 Fontwell Capellini 5/2
4.55 Ayr Regal Diamond 4/1
5.05 Fontwell Tarraco 7/1
5.30 Bath Ovatory 6/1

The three picks all ran well in their own way, but none could get their head in front.

Mr Moonshine ran a cracker for Sue Smith's yard less than two weeks after pulling up in the Grand National. Given a positive ride, he lost the lead in the home straight but rallied again only to eventually go down by five lengths, after starting at 5/1.

Confessional travelled nicely and was bang there going into the final furlong but didn't have enough finishing kick and just got run out of the placings, finishing fourth after starting at 15/2.

Shrimpton didn't get the clearest of runs but she was still able to force her way into contention going down by just two necks after starting at 4/1.

Of the of interests, Ballybogey and Regal Diamond both won at 5/1 and 11/2 sps respectively while Red Inca came second

On Saturday we had:

TIME     COURSE            SELECTION              0.5pt/1pt/2pt win    Bookmaker(s) / Price(s)

5.30         Nottingham           Zalzilah                         1pt                           4/1 BetVictor/PP/Boyles/StanJames/Totesport

OF INTEREST:

1.30 Ayr Reaping The Reward 5/1
1.50 Newbury Guarantee 9/2
3.05 Bangor Staccato Valtat 5/1
3.50 Ayr Auroras Encore 14/1
4.35 Thirsk Lady Poppy 8/1
4.50 Bangor Henry Vaughan 3/1

Zalzilah lost quite a few lengths at the start by missing the kick and then veering wildly left on his racecourse debut (not helped by the horse next to him pushing into him) and finished down the field, after going off at 4/1.

Staccato Valtat won at 5/1sp for the of interests, while Reaping The Reward and Henry Vaughan were both placed.

And then on to today, Sunday where we had:

TIME     COURSE            SELECTION              0.5pt/1pt/2pt win    Bookmaker(s) / Price(s)

3.00        Stratford                Aegean Destiny             1pt                          5/1 gen bog
3.30        Stratford                Coup Royale                 1pt                          9/1 PP/Boyles/Skybet 8/1 gen bog

OF INTEREST:

None

A disappointing day here although we got the price with Aegean Destiny who went off at 7/2 but was just a bit outpaced before staying on into 5th, beaten about five lengths.

Coup Royale put in a very poor effort after going off at 8/1.

Summary of Results:

Wednesday 17th April

Easter Meteor, 4th/7, 6/1 --- 5/1

Thursday 18th April

No selections

Friday 19th April

Sunday 21st April

Aegean Destiny, 5th/8, 5/1 --- 7/2

Not a great deal of consolation but at least we beat SP with 6 of the 7 of these selections, as April continues to stutter along and we could do with a nice couple of winners soon, let's hope they can come starting tomorrow!

All the best for a great week ahead.
