A fairly quiet start to the month with a couple at Newbury.

Not a great start to the month with a couple of points lost. Gentle Lord was one that possibly got away, carried markedly left, squeezed out, and left him with no chance at all inside the final furlong. In fairness that's the sort of thing which happens more often I suppose in 2yo maiden races, but still a bit frustrating.
Presto Volante also wasn't beaten that far but didn't trouble the leaders back in fifth. Not a good day for value with neither selection starting shorter than backed at either, and we look for better tomorrow.
