First up, Nevada Royale ran quite well in the mud at Newcastle, leading for much of the way before getting a bit outpaced in the end, although he stayed on nicely again to get third, after going off at 8/1. He just might be one to keep an eye on.
And then we had a very comfortable winner at Kempton, with Coup Royale being given a very patient ride by Joe Tizzard, so much so that the in-running layers had him at 100/+ at one stage, but it appeared the result was never really in doubt as the 7yo just cruised past those in front of him as they turned for home, and he won by nearly ten lengths in the end. Got the price too, with the selection going off a well backed 7/2.
