Thirds are the order of the day

Not content with having five out of our seven selections yesterday finishing third, we had another today with Spanish Cruise just being run out of things in the first race of the day at Worcester.

Having a run of third placed finishes was possibly overdue, as in March we had only four of our 65 picks coming third (6.15%), and then in April we had six out of 79 in that position (7.6%).

Anyway today we had just the one pick:

TIME COURSE SELECTION 1pt/2pt win Bookmaker(s) / Price(s)
1.50 Worcester Spanish Cruise 1pt 5/1 Hills/Coral

And Spanish Cruise ran well, after starting at 5/1, he race prominently, always up there despite making the odd mistake. While he never really looked a likely winner (matched just over 2/1 in running), he was just beginning to pick up and stay on again approaching the last when he clattered the last hurdle and his chance was gone.

Confirmation of result with prices (advised --- SP):

Spanish Cruise, 3rd/14, 5/1 --- 5/1

The racing continues to come thick and fast in the next few days and there's bound to be plenty of opportunities for us to hopefully take advantage of. Roll on Monday!
