Very much a non-descript day, with just the one selection which ran poorly, and drifted, so not good at all.
Boomtown Kat was put up as a 9/1 pick in the 4.05 at Exeter, a two mile 7 furlong handicap hurdle. Karen George's six year old was trying the longer distance for the first time, but it didn't work out. He was in contention for much of the race, but began to struggle around three furlongs from home and fell right away to come tenth. The drift pre-race wasn't a good sign, and so it proved.
