Weekend Update

We did have a selection today, running at Sedgefield, but despite some earlier positive vibes coming from the course racing was unfortunately abandoned.

Yesterday was altogether brighter with two winners from our four selections.

We had:

TIME COURSE SELECTION 1pt/2pt win Bookmaker(s) / Price(s)

2.40 Uttoxeter Sandynow 1pt 4/1 generally
3.55 Doncaster De Boitron 2pt 12/1+generally inc. 14/1 Bet365&others
4.15 Cheltenham Module 1pt 9/2+generally inc. 5/1 Coral/VC&others

Advised Early:

2.20 Doncaster Tobago Bay 2pt 10/1+generally inc. 14/1 Lads/Totesport/Betfred

First up Tobago Bay went off at 10/1 and raced prominently for a while before disappointingly fading from three out.

Sandynow was supported into 3/1 and ran out a gutsy winner, by more than two lengths, although we were helped by a couple of mistakes made by the eventual runnner-up in the closing stages.

Next up was De Boitron who was held up, and just could never get competitive after starting at 12/1.

And then came Module, who put in a taking performance to win the last at Cheltenham, on his British debut for Tom George. Very well backed earlier in the day, he started a still pretty well supported 6/1 and won comfortably by more than three lengths. Could be an interesting contender in his chosen engagement come March..

Confirmation of results with prices (advised --- SP):

Tobago Bay, 7th/9, 14/1 --- 10/1
Sandynow, 1st/9, 4/1 --- 3/1
De Boitron, 8th/10, 12/1 --- 12/1
Module, 1st/14, 5/1 --- 6/1

Talking of the Festival, wasn't Hurricane Fly fantastic today, just six weeks to go!
