Two doubles for Wednesday

A really battling second by the sole selection yesterday, not beaten far after three and a half miles. Looking to go one better today with two doubles, both over the sticks at Southwell :

South 2.30 Mad Professor 5-1 B365 DOUBLE STAKER

South 3.05 Grenoli 11-2 Totesport DOUBLE STAKER

John Cornwall's my new favourite trainer. A brilliant double up, and two very easy winners. Double staking just makes things even sweeter. Mad Professor was the subject of sustained support which was obviously completely warranted. Grenoli was nicely backed too and won literally by a distance. Brilliant. And well done Joseph Cornwall too for a couple of cracking rides - he certainly wasn't stopping on Grenoli!

The only slight downer was a R4 in the 2.30 race, meaning I was paid at 4.2/1 with bet365 but all in all a cracking 19.4pt profit on the day, and a renewed high for the bank so a new stake to be found from tomorrow.

By the way, what a terrific match tonight, really compelling stuff from the Nou Camp and delighted for Mourinho, Inter definitely deserved to go through.

    double staking a horse with 2 wins from 47? You're a genius if it wins, but Mad Professor is a horse who had a run of 1.11, 1.01, 1.01, 1.05 (lowest price matched in-running) and lost all four! I enjoyed laying him the last two times of that streak :)

    Ha! Well we'll see Scott! The money's certainly down today, maybe a return to better ground over minimum trip will set him alight..? Might lay him at 1.01 just in case though ;)
