Bit of a damp squib
What's been another superb month ends with a below par day, with three selections failing to hit the frame.
2.20 Leicester Dream Whisperer 1pt 8/1 Coral 3.50 Leicester Regal Rave 1pt 5/1 Bet365/Hills other BOG
4.05 Ludlow The Snail 1pt 8/1 Lads
Dream Whisperer was really well backed in the opener at Leicester, the a maiden race for 2year olds, starting at 9/2. She was a touch slowly away and while didn't run badly, was a bit green and was fairly soundly beaten. Obviously a bit more was expected, and she may be one to keep an eye on.
Regal Rave started at 4s but while he raced prominently for a while ended up stone last.
The Snail, who at the end of 2009 and into 2010 ran up five wins in a row, went off at 7/1, and was pretty reluctant to race, looking thoroughly awkward and ending up being pulled up.
