We were close to making a JP McManus runner a selection last week, but didn't, and then watched it win well. Today we were on one of his, but it wasn't to be.
Open Day was backed down to 5/2 at the off, but he was just never really travelling. McCoy was shoving him along ,and didn't give up until it was clear he had no chance of winning, but he ended up tailed off back in second last.
