Closed to New Members

First of all, in case you are not yet aware, we have closed our membership to all new subscribers.

We have taken this decision to help protect prices for our current members. If you would like to join the service, please contact us and let us know and we will put you on our waiting list.

In the meantime, let's update our results from the last couple of days, a mixed picture, but we had a nice winner today.

Yesterday we had:

TIME COURSE SELECTION 1pt/2pt win Bookmaker(s) / Price(s)
3.00 Brighton My Learned Friend 1pt 11/2 generally 6/1 Bet365/Stan James
3.45 Newton Abbot Troy Tempest 1pt 9/2 generally 5/1 Coral/Bluesq/SportingBet
4.45 Newton Abbot Mrs Peacock 2pt 14/1 generally

None of these made the frame.

My Learned Friend came 6th and never really got involved, after drifting to 8/1sp.

Troy Tempest looked to be getting into it, but didn't pick up when push came to shove, and he finished a well beaten 7th after being further supported into 4/1.

Mrs Peacock looked to be a big player for a good while, prominent and going nicely until she was asked to go on and throw down a real challenge, at which point she downed tools and was readily passed, ending up pulling up. A 7/2 shot pulled out which gave the SP market a slightly uneven look but still we got some decent value here, with Norma Trowmey's 6yo going off at 5/1.

Then today we had a couple at Pontefract:

TIME COURSE SELECTION 1pt/2pt win Bookmaker(s) / Price(s)

3.00 Ponte King Kurt 1pt 11-2 general. 13-2 Lads(BOG) S James
3.30 Ponte Lady Del Sol 1pt 5-1 Lads, B365 (BOG) Tote, S James, Coral

King Kurt was a very ready winner, given a lovely ride by Philip Makin, he raced prominently off a steady pace and skipped clear when asked to go and win. Well clear of the field going into final furlong, he won by 3 1/2 lengths in the end, after starting at 6/1. Hopefully plenty of our members got the 13/2 with Lads and S James but as the prices were available for just a few minutes we'll mark him up as a 6/1 winner for our records.

Then came Lady Del Sol half an hour later to see if we could fire in a quick fire double. Sadly not to be, she was squeezed for room at one stage and had to look for a run, but was never really looking a likely winner, finishing well back in the end, after starting at 9/2.

Confirmation of results with prices (advised --- SP):

Monday 4th July 2011:

My Learned Friend, 6th/9, 11/2 --- 8/1
Troy Tempest, 7th/15, 9/2 --- 4/1
Mrs Peacock, PU/7, 14/1 --- 5/1

Tuesday 5th July 2011:

King Kurt, 1st/11, 6/1 --- 6/1
Lady Del Sol, 9th/10, 5/1 --- 9/2

Nice to get July off the mark today then, it's not been a great start to the month but as we know things can spin around very quickly so hopefully we'll build on today in the next few days.
