Decent runs but..

We've had some half decent performances these last couple of days, but sadly we're 4pts down from where we were on Wednesday. Annoying! But it happens and we'll move on.

Let's start yesterday where we had:

8.40 Doncaster Frontline Phantom 1pt 6/1 generally

Alice's Dancer was a non runner.

Glenridding ran well for a long time, but just faded into the last furlong after starting at 8/1, finishing fourth.

Frontline Phantom was another to show prominently, but similarly couldn't fight them off when the pack closed, and he ended well beaten after starting at 6/1

And then on to today:

8.20 Hamilton Union Island 1pt 6/1 generally 7/1 Lads

8.40 Pontefract Tricky Situation 1pt 8/1 generally 17/2 Hills 9/1 Lads/Stan James/Boylesports

Annoyingly Taqleed was a non runner, so we had a long wait for our two runners.

Union Island was held up at the back, got caught in some traffi issues and had to switch violently left to get a ru. Once free he did begin to pick up but it wasn't quite enough, going down by just over a length, after starting at 11/2.

Tricky Situation blew the start and went right, but went on to run quite nicely. A bit like Union Island, she didn't have things her own way, before staying on nicely into third near the finish.

It's been a frustrating few days and we look forward to seeing what the weekend brings.
