Poor couple of days
Not a good couple of days, with seven points dropped from our six selections. Just time for a quick recap tonight really, so let's get cracking.
It turned out My Flame was drawn badly and he had to use up plenty of early pace to get over to the rail, and that eventually told, although he ran very well for a long time, after starting at 8/1.
Amongst Amigos looked threatening for a monent but faded tamely out of things, while Indian Wish surely had something go wrong, as she ended up hopelessly detached. They started at 16/1 and 9/1 respectively.
Invent finished third, beaten just over 7 lengths after being heavily eased close to the end, after drifting to 8/1 at SP.
3.10 Uttoxeter Nothingbutthetruth 1pt 7/1 generally 15/2 Coral
7.20 Sandown Breaking The Bank 1pt 6/1 generally 13/2 Hills/VC/Paddy Power 7/1 Totesp/Betfred
Nothingbutthetruth came from a way back to look briefly threatening just over two fences from home, but he couldn't quicken to get there and ended up finishing fourth, after going off a nicely backed 5/1
And then at Sandown tonight, Breaking The Bank looked to be going quite nicely a couple of furlongs out, and traded odds on a for a moment or two, but his challenge unfortunately soon petered out, after going off at11/2.
