Results catch up

High time for a results catch up!

Not a great deal to report however, we made a couple of points on Saturday, lost three on Sunday and today both our runners were pulled out.

Let's start on Saturday where we had:

Firestarter missed the break which didn't help, but was there with a chance close to home without being able to quicken well enough, after starting at 6/1.

Ivory Slik didn't have the clearest of passages but it probably didn't make much difference, finishing well back, after going off at 7/1.

Baby Strange almost got us off the mark for the day, leading until the last 50yds or so before he was hauled in, going down by 3/4 length, after going off at 7/2.

Now My Sun was the winner, a sizeable gamble in the morning, he was actually quite weak on course, drifting back to 5/1 at the off. He refused to settle on his racecourse debut and did very well to have enough in the tank to just get up on the line, possibly one to look out for.

On to Sunday and we had:

Lucky Money traded at 1.17, travelling really strongly close to the lead in the closing stages, but he couldn't quite see it out, and lost third place close to home, after starting at 4/1.

Encompassing would have been a huge return for those of our members who locked in the 25/1 with Ladbrokes, which held up for quite a while after the email was sent. He travelled really nicely until about 3 furlongs left, touching shorter than 2/1 in running. Sadly his challenge petered out and he finished well beaten.
