Both our wins from our four selections came at Chester.
Let's start yesterday where we had:
TIME COURSE SELECTION 1pt/2pt win Bookmaker(s) / Price(s)
2.50 Ascot Sunwise 1pt 8-1 B365, Betfred 15-2 W Hill, Boyle, (all BOG)7s others
6.40 Chest Jungle Bay 1pt 9-1 VC, Boyle (BOG) Tote, Sky. Some 10s at S James, 8-1 Lads, B365
7.25 Newb Billion Dollar Kid 1pt 7-1 Lads (BOG) S James, Sky. 13-2 W Hill, Tote
Sunwise was just never really travelling and was well beaten after going off at 6/1.
Jungle Bay was a cracking winner. Slightly slowly away he was soon racing prominently and always travelling well. When asked to quicken and go and win his race he did so, repelling his nearest challenger by a length after going off at 5/1sp.
Billion Dollar Kid was up there and looked to have a decent chance a couple of furlongs from home, but he faded out of contention, after being weak on course, going off at 10/1.
And then today we had:
TIME COURSE SELECTION 1pt/2pt win Bookmaker(s) / Price(s)
4.00 Chester Colour Vision 1pt 5/1 generally BOG 6/1 Betfred 13/2 Stan James some 7/1 Ladbrokes
Colour vision won really well. The 7/1 was available for a good few minutes after our selections were put out but it's probably fairer to put him down as a 6/1 shot as that was available for longer. SP was 11/2. Anyway, always going really well, Mark Johnston's 3yo powered clear going into the final furlong and never looked back, winning by more than 4 lengths. A cracking result and a horse to possibly keep on the right side of going forward.
Summary of results with prices (advised --- SP):
Friday 8th July 2011:
Jungle Bay, 1st/11, 9/1 --- 5/1
Billion Dollar Kid, 9th/12, 7/1 --- 10/1
Colour Vision, 1st/9, 6/1 --- 11/2
July is now in profit by 4.95pts (19.04%ROI). As recently as half way through the middle of Thursday this week we were down by 14pts, just another example of how things can, and so often do, spin around quickly. Hopefully we can continue to push forward. We've not had a really explosive run of profit for a while, it may just be around the corner if things continue, let's hope so.
